 About us

Experience Matters is on a mission to harness the power of the lived experience voice in the alcohol and drug sector. We have established the Experience Matters Collective, because we believe just that.......
experience matters.

We know the power of the lived experience community and we want to start bringing that power to alcohol and drug public health policy, research and service innovation.

We are a membership organisation for any individual or family member with a past or present lived experience with alcohol and drug use.

The membership comes at no cost and we actually want to work and provide as much value as possible. Experience Matters will focus on the following three elements to provide our members with as much value as possible: employment opportunities, peer workforce training
and public health policy.
